Stories of insane abusive outburst towards actors, technical staff and others abound. I was told of an instance where Singer got up into Sir Ian Mckellen's face screaming obscenities during an X-Men shoot. Seems like a "kooky" thing to do to an artist of Sir Ian's stature. Another where Singer threw a coffee cup at an assistant. And other numerous incidents of this nature. I was also told Halle Berry would not do any of the press junkets for the X-MEN's because of Singers erratic outbursts during filming. Has anyone heard of anything like this concerning Singer's behaviour ? Anytime I've seen him during interviews and what-not, he seems very reserved and quite likable. I am not one prone to "hear-say tattle", but like I said this comes to me from a high placed source.(and please don't ask because no names are coming from these lips). On top of all this I hear the shoot of VALKYRIE has been troubled with some of the same nonsensical behavior. And problems with test screenings. To which partly contributed to Paula Wagner leaving her post at UNITED ARTISTS and splitting from Cruise too. Anybody got any info to all my hear-say ???

It was also put fourth to me....... "Skelly my boy, who really wants to see a buncha Germans trying to assassinate Hitler, in these times today" ? Which kinda makes me think, that just might make some sense. All these political Iraq War themed films coming out lately have been tanking at the box-office. We all see enough misery on TV and in our everyday lives, that who really wants to spend dwindling dollars to feel lousy in the theater ? Which brings me back on point.......Bryan Singer. He had such a heavy load riding on SUPERMAN RETURNS and his payoff was mixed at best. The wunderkid kinda fell from blockbuster grace. If he was acting like a "dirty loon" while filming his success's..... Well look out film crews. It's probably gonna be a real bumpy ride now ! Although, I don't wish disaster on the upcoming VALKYRIE. But with Cruise in the mix, I'm quite sure history will be twisted and squeezed to feed a somewhat mindless audience. These German Generals did a noble thing in trying to kill Hitler. But these men were not hero's. They all had a lot of blood on their hands. And I'm sure self preservation was part of their deed. But getting back to Singer again... What happens to his industry reputation if this film doesn't meet expectation's ? Does he fall to the ranks of a three and a half hit wonder ? Does he finish his film stint doing low/no budget straight to video, before ending up in the gutter ? I guess time will finish this mystery.
