Here is a question I've been pondering for about a week: Why did Universal stop making the monster films? Did they lose popularity? Were the actors just getting too old? Were ratings a factor? These films seemed to be real popular during the 60s and 70s since Aurora released kits and publishers were releaseing monster mags. There was even the resurgance of popularity in the 90s with Sideshow, Hasbro, and the Postal Service putting out merchandise. It seems confusing that a studio would stop making movies which would be making them a lot of money through movie and merchandise sales.
