I still have nightmares about Angus the swamp monster stalking Will through the castle corridors. Also, the department store revolving door with flashing lights that appears and disappears in the rock wall (as a doorway from the alien planet into the old Scottish times) was great. I really like Hamish and all his "ghosty" tricks he plays on Will and Smith. Oh well, one man's "just terrible" summation is another man's favorite episode.

Alias the Scarecrow wrote: Uncle Angus with his wailing & thrashing about in that episode just about scared the daylights out of me! lol..It's one of my earliest memories of being afraid of something on TV as a child. I can still remember Will running and hiding in that castle's dungeons as Angus came out of the loch and ventured inside..creepy. Now I look back at it and laugh, especially when 'ol Angus would turn up periodically on VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA in various episodes..

Two things I love about that episode: The Frost Giants - That scene where the giant gladiator foot goes walking by Thor's cave used to FREAK me out as a kid. Oh! And the Frost Giants had the exact same wailing scream sound effect as Uncle Angus the swamp monster from The Astral Traveler! The elves in the ice caves: Their "Scat! Scat - Shoe!" mimicing antics freaked me out as a kid (the elves were portrayed by two little people actors). Crazy stuff!

My girlfriend makes similar comments; "NOW what are you playing? What IS this?!" Did you get the Lost In Space 40th Anniversary Edition 2-disc set? It's basically a compilation of all three seasons plus a few previously unreleased pieces that are only on this set. Great full color booklet with photos and extensive liner notes included as well.

LCranston wrote: Anybody notice some LiS scenes that must have been influenced by "Bride of Frankenstein?" In "Island in the Sky" Dr. Smith threatens Maureen & Don by summoning the Robot - it's very similar to Dr. Praetorius' calling the Monster to intimidate Henry. Also, in "The Dream Monster" there are the two little gold androids that speak the same gibberish that the little experiments do in Praetorius' laboratory.
