I watched this again today, still like it. While watching it, I started to wonder who or what was the chauffeur. Its obvious that he scared the hell out of Oliver Reeds character. I believe there is a scene where as a boy he's (Reed) at a funeral and he ends up in the car with the chauffeur. I got the feeling that as a boy he may have known the chauffeur who may have abused him in some way. Was the house playing on some fear he had or what?
