Caught this on television last weekend. Unfortunately, it was at the hour of two or three am. And when the film was have way through, the station switched to
an infomercial. At least I got to see half of it. And the last time I saw this on television was 1988.
When watching the film, I got the same feeling I did when watching HOUSE (1986). It was like a story told around a campfire. One of those you don't believe for a minute but enjoy nevertheless. Perhaps "delightfully absurd" is a good phrase.
I'm not aware of an official DVD release. Though it merits one since the film is enjoyable. No blockbuster hit, but good old fashioned low budget fun. Certainly better than some of the films that have been released on DVD.
