Doc Savage Books I'd Like To Have Seen.

Actually I suppose the story could be about Doc investigating something in his 'present' with a second corresponding plot thread set in Dr. Syn's time-line. Kind of like a Batman/Viking Prince 'team-up' Whatever the case it makes a great cover. Actually, now that I think of it, I'd love to see Doc team-up with Batman! Has this ever happened? Jul 11 08 9:06 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Marvel did a Doc Savage/Spider-Man story, but I believe it was an "across time" type story, with Spidey in the 70s and Doc in the 30s interacting with the same menace in each era, but not meeting each other or time travelling.

And somewhere along the way it could be implied that the spirit of Dr. Syn dosen't approve of their activities and helps put an end to them. Or something. like that. I'd love to see ol' Doc go up against Moreau and his manimals or battle some Harryhausen creature like the cyclops. Absolutely fantastic work! -Rob-

I finally got my Doc Savage paperback collection out of long-long-long term storage earlier this year after evilskippy shared a copy of the Doc movie with me, and it was like meeting up with an old friend (though, unfortunately, a somewhat more weathered version). These covers recall the fun and thrill I always felt at finding a 'new' Doc bantam at the flea market or used bookstore, and for that, Kez, I thank you. I didn't have the opportunity to use the high-quality printer I mentioned previously, but my cheap HP and some photo paper did a very good job of Tokyo Terror and a not-too-bad job with Black Lagoon, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it does with the others. Now to decide where to hang them....

I have the complete Bantam run, but I stopped reading them around the time they went to the double format (although I continued to buy the new ones when they came out). I always preferred the super-sagas from earlier in the run to the more grounded "science-detective" stories that came later. I've been thinking about seeing how far I could get reading them in pulp publication order Kez
