Watched this one for the first time last night on the Tales of Terror 50-pack and though I would start a thread for it. It's got an interesting scientific take on the vampire myth (indeed I don't recall anyone saying Ralph Morgan has become a vampire) a nice loyal hunchback (an anti-cliche at the time) and some good atmosphere in the cave sequences and torch-wielding villagers!
Unfortunately it also has dialogue so poor the actors almost visibly cringe, two very sappy and unconvincing romantic leads, and camera work that makes Dracula look like a masterpiece!
It's also VERY similiar to Strayer's earlier Vampire Bat in many respects. Anyone else ever seen this one?
