Any fans of this out there? I cant see another thread.
I was copying this today and wondered if anyone knew of any decent articles that have appeared about the making of this great film.
The name Daniel Webster doesn't mean much in the UK I'm afraid. The version I have is "Daniel and the Devil" copied from The UK Channel 4 many years ago.
They used to have great film seasons when they started up but the chances of anything like this being shown these days seem very slim.
The titles on the film puzzle me too, it mentions it was previously released as "All that money can buy" the titles then read "in front of the camera" and lists the actors. "Behind the camera" lists the technicians and its like a roster of RKO's finest, though the RKO logo doesnt appear any where. The credits seem to have been added later with no thought to style. They look to my untrained eyes, very 1950s American .
In the jury at the end of the film, are these all real people?, I know about Judge Hawthorne, Teach, Kidd and Benedict Arnold. What about the others?
The titles Mr Scratch awards them sound very intriguing.
