I'm not really sure where to put this, but I thought some of you might be interested in the recent release of the KID MONK BARONI DVD and commentary. It's a Jack Broder production, so I'm going with Poverty Row. The picture may be of interest to CHFBers because it stars Bruce Cabot, Jack Larson, Mona Knox and a very young Leonard Nimoy. It starts off like a standard boxing film, but as the story progressed I honestly didn't know where it was going.
The real point of interest is the delightful commentary with Nimoy, Larson and Knox. They all play off of each other like old friends and tell many marvelous stories of their salad days. For those of us who may have been disappointed by Jack's commentaries on the recent ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN releases, it's a treat to hear him here. Perhaps it's becaused he's talking about something new and not the same old Superman stories that we still love to hear, but I'm sure he's quite bored with repeating. I can't recommend this highly enough for fans of these actors and good commentaries.
