New transfers, 16 x 9 enhanced. No extras announced for PUMPKINHEAD yet, but extras for CHILD'S PLAY are: Audio Commentary Select Scene Chucky Commentary Evil Comes in Small Packages The Birth of Chucky Creating the Horror Unleashed Chucky: Building a Nightmare A Monster Convention Vintage Featurette: Introducing Chucky: The Making of Child's Play It's Hard Being Evil Theatrical Trailer Photo Gallery This, and some repakagings of some previous horror special edition (MISERY, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, etc.) appear to be it for MGM this Halloween. (06/11/08 6:42 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	Last year, Universal released SEED OF CHUCKY on HD DVD and they will likely release it on Blu-ray as they catch up with releases on the new format. If CHILD'S PLAY finally recieved a new transfer, it will certainly be a high definition transfer and a good candidate for Blu-ray release.

My girlfriend doesn't like that many horror movies (they scare her too much!) but she's a HUGE Chucky fan so this will be appreciated by both halves. Especially since the UK DVD was so damn dark you couldn't see Jack - or Chucky for that matter!

I hope they slap some extras on there. A commentary and a documentary are in order!

(06/12/08 6:49 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	I'm not too thrilled about Childs Play, it happens to be one of those movies that I really enjoyed as a kid, but when I saw it as an adult it didn't hold the same amount of water. I still have the memory of what I liked about that movie and that is good enough for me. Pumpkinhaed not exactly super excited either but I have considered purchasing it in the past. Pretty cool premis, amazing looking creature, cool old witch in the woods. So I if I am walking through the store and it is the right price, and I am in the right mood, I could see myslef scooping it up. BUT I still have to get the Skull first on dvd before I worry about that one.

Was that the case for both the MGM and the Fox MidNite Movie releases? (Since Fox got in on the MM action, last year, I was hoping that was a sign of increased interest.)
