I've managed to see a few of the all-black fantasy genre films of the 30s & 40s, like LUCKY GHOST, THE BLOOD OF JESUS, OUANGA, and a couple of others. I'm interested to know if some other titles are to be had on video, like PROFESSOR CREEPS, COME MIDNIGHT, and MIDNIGHT MENACE. Anyone able to chime in on this? Thanks!

Jul 9 06 11:20 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I saw SON OF INGAGI on an 'unofficial' but rentable VHS tape about 15 years ago. Since then it's shown up on TV here in NYC (either a PBS station or the CUNY station, not sure which) at least twice. I didn't watch or tape it, though. Didn't feel the need.

Jul 10 06 1:14 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I recently picked up Alpha's double feature of THE DEVIL'S DAUGHTER and CHLOE. I watched DD so far, and I'm not sure if I can muster up the stones to watch CHLOE, ever, if the first film is any indication of quality. It makes my previous least-favorite cheapie, REVOLT OF THE ZOMBIES, look like CITIZEN KANE.

Alas, I think most of these titles can be filed under "lost". The Forgotten Horrors series offer some nice overviews and tantalizing stills. PROFESSOR CREEPS features Arthur Ray, referred to some sources as "The Black Bela Lugosi" (who was also in SON OF INGAGI). A photo from MR. WASHINGTON GOES TO TOWN (1941) published in the old Famous Monsters always intrigued me. While not really of this ilk, I was wondering if the landmark film INGAGI still exists. His minions are gathering... Either that or a secret meeting of the Charles Gemora fan club! *sidenote: So you don't think me mad. I've just noticed this film being mentioned alot and found it to be, well...creepy. In fact Tom mentioned in the fine Kin of Kong thread started by Tides over in the Kong folder, that a print may exist in the Library of Congress!

Really weird...I had posted that over in the Off Topic folder, Little Rascal thread. I read somewhere that INGAGI was released on a territorial basis meaning it went from town to town and was not distributed through a regular distributor. Beware the Great INGAGI show!

They have scads of features, newsreels, documentaries, silents, soundies, cartoons, paper, etc. No FIGHT THAT GHOST, dammit, but the dealer is aware of these titles and always on the lookout for them.
