As a kid in the early 1970s I remember "The Ghoul" hosting the Saturday night "Creature Feature" flick on Kaiser Broadcasting's Channel 50 (WKBD-TV) Detroit. Apparently (on doing a bit of research) he was the revival of Cleveland's Ghoulardi, making fun of Parma, Ohio like his predecessor did, but had his own funny material as well. I loved his zeal for blowing things with firecrackers and his "Pluck Your Magic Twanger, Froggy" routines. His jokes were really funny too---with a perfectly straight face he pondered what he did that day, then after a minute remembered he got married that afternoon(?!). I guess he was syndicated on other Kaiser channels in that era; does anyone else here remember "The Ghoul"?
