Sep 26 08 11:53 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The frame grab is neat, and a comparison to the set of stills illustrates my theory about this wacky transformation variation. I hiked up the contrast to the 2nd shot of Karloff to show that, with a teeny bit of movie matte work, Horsley (or Fulton) plopped Karloff's head onto Karloff's body for the change-to-Hyde shot. What's also interesting is that the still (I suppose, series of stills, if we had a series of frame grabs) exactly matches the camera angle in the film, instead of being off to one side or other. Makes me think that maybe the stills were taken for contonuity purposes as well as publicity.

Rod Yeah, his hair is quite a bit darker than in Return Of The Vampire, and seems to have a heavier layer of greasepaint, which I'm assuming was white. I always thought he looked great in A&C Meet F.

Jul 9 09 1:58 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Right. Fulton was on FX for Son Of Dracula, wasn't he? Those bat transformations were more smooth, I thought. The A&C transformations remind me a bit of Kirk Alyn's flying sequences in the Superman serials. However, it never really bothered me that Bela turned into a cartoon.

Lantz would make sense. That's who I'd always heard did the beginning credits animation, it would make sense that they were onboard for the bat transformations too.
