And, yep - it was made into a shirt by a talented friend/ex-business partner. One of the thrills of my life was seeing Berni Wrightson wearing one on that "Frazetta: Painting With Fire" video documentary. Wrightson wearing a shirt with my artwork on it - wow!I thought so - I have one of those shirts too! It was a gift from my Wonderfest friend Anthony Taylor. I always get compliments on it. Great job on that piece, Jim.

Great work one and all! I've already posted this Bela on the CHFB Member Art Gallery, but I guess it belongs here as well.
My piece for 'The Challenge' is finished and I'll be posting it as soon as I'm able.

I did this quickly one morning last April as a response to a comment someone made in another folder here at the CHFB, and just moved it over here. But that's Bela as a vampire--mis-identified as "Bogos Karloff"...er..you had to be there...

Thank you, JimPV! For this one I worked with charcoal pencils mostly. For the hat and cape, I used a black charcoal pencil plus a hard black pastel. I
used soft pastels for the background. I let the gray paper show for most of the face to try and add to a nighttime effect. I chose this particular scene
because I've always liked it and I wanted to do something I'd never seen done before.

And I have very little pride, so here's my submission I whipped up in about 5 minutes at lunch today.
I think I captured the essence of Bela, without those cumbersome and distracting brush strokes.

I just noticed this thread. Here's the only Bela Dracula sketch I could find on my computer. A quick doodle done in photoshop with a stylus and a Wacom
tablet for practice.

Here's an early Lugosi Dracula piece of mine I found. I think I did it when I was about 15 or so, inspired by the cover art for a paperback edition of
"Dracula's Guest" by Bram Stoker. I had no idea what I was doing. This was actually done in oil paints on manila paper!

Some really great stuff posted. I can't challenge the beautiful drawings and paintings here, but here's a fun caricature I did today especially for
this thread. I sketched it out in pencil then finished the linework with black markers. I added the gray tones in photoshop.
