POE TRICK OR TREAT is great fun Mark and I agree with Jethro, that would be a really precocious monsterkid! Cool!

Thanks, everybody! Have a great Halloween weekend! I'm more in the mood this year than I've been in ages. Be safe, be spooky, and see you all Monday!

Ah, those wonderful old kiddie Halloween costumes. I was both of these as a kid. I remember being so stoked about setting out trick or treating in my Ben
Cooper Frankenstein costume but my older brother was watching THE GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN on TV and I couldn't pull myself away! Trick or Treating had to
wait.
I was so adrenaline-pumped on the Halloween I went as the Wolfman that I ran around the house wearing the mask pretending to be him! The vision was always partially obscured on these things and I ran right smack dab into a wall and cracked the mask! A little scotch tape in the back fixed it though! The mask, I meant. Inspired by both Belle Dee Bilbrey's and Frank Dietz's artwork this month I recreated (in miniature, of course) these two masks-
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYBODY!

Jethro just continues to amaze! And, what a nostalgic post to see today! I wore that Frankenstein costume in 1963! In real size, of course. And then --- I got
a rock.

Jethro, again those masks are just the coolest. I'm a poor monsterkid who never had one. I remember a generic superhero costume and mask I wore but never
a cool Monster mask like those. How on earth did you make them. Did you make a mold?

Thanks guys for your comments on my Bates House repost. I love ZD's artwork up there, the expression he captured of Hitchcock's seemingly utter disdain
and boredom as he rests his blubbery face in his hand. Zombie Dad's drawing is so good that you KNOW who it is...of course I can't identify his
companion...perhaps that is Red "Skeleton", they both worked for the same network at the same time. (I'm so freakin'
funny...................NOT!)
This is really a CHALLENGE 'cause as much as I admire Hitchcock and many of his films, I can't think of too many things I would jump on as an artist. (make up your own joke here). I like THE BIRDS, Hitchcock's only real monster movie, but painting Tippi Hedren covered in Seagull poop doesn't do it for me...although I had a major crush on Suzanne Pleshette when I was like twelve or something. (I love short sultry brunettes with cigarette voices and ambiguous sexuality...well, everybody's got to have a hobby.) Hey Zombie Dad, didn't you do a slammin' drawing of Mother from Psycho? If so, puh-leeeeeeeeze repost it. If you haven't and I'm just imagining it, you should really do it because I think your style would be really cool for her...it...that...whatever.

I guess you could say that I scratched my itch with something from Hitch!I feel the need to remind members of this thread that rhyming will not be tolerated. Alliteration, yes, play-on-words, certainly. But rhyming is right out. So no more rhymes, I mean it! Anybody want a peanut?
Love that Hitch piece, ZD, didn't remember it. And it's always a pleasure to see the lovely Mrs. Bates so pickled. I'd love to see you do "Mrs. Danvers" from REBECCA. Wally, that Bates house is terrific. Wonderful colors. Anybody got anything from NORTH BY NORTHWEST or REAR WINDOW? Frank Dietz
