Just watched this interesting sci-fi chiller. A modern scientist (1940) is trying to find a doctor who mysteriously disappeared 10 years earlier, in order to
find out more about his experiments with freezing to kill off cancer cells... and he stumbles across the scientist (Karloff the Uncanny), who had been frozen
by accident 10 years earlier. But there are a few complications, not the least of which are the four other loathsome fellows frozen with the good doctor!
I thought it was pretty fun, with great cinematography, a good performance by Karloff, and a neat look at what the freezing process would do to people taken out of time. The odd thing was that the print that was used for the DVD was pristine except for about the last 7 minutes, which was scratchy and wobbly - anybody know why?
