As I understand it, it's a remake of the 1944 Universal monster mash

I agree Peter Crombie was excellent in this awful two part TV movie. Hated the whole reworking of vampires as fallen Angels B.S. and couldn't believe my eyes seeing the main vampire turning into a bat-like demon (that reminds me of THE GARGOYLES TV movie) while it doesn't look bad it just comes off silly. However what I hated the most is having the werewolves turning into dogs eh I mean wolves, this has never had a great appeal to me. The money they spent on the silly vampire creature should have been put into a werewolf creature. I avoided this movie like the plague when it first came out on TV but after nearly a dozen years I figure better take a look at it now not sure if I'll ever want to revisit it again. Actually if someone would edit out all the vampire and werewolf nonsense and just leave the Frankenstein story this might make for an interesting hour long program.
