Yikes! Suddenly the rest of us look a whole lot saner ! Of course, we're not…we just find excuses for smaller collections.

In my case, I purposely limited myself to the old LOST IN SPACE TV series because it has relatively fewer collectibles than many other shows/movies. If I did Star Wars, I'd need to win the lottery and buy a warehouse. Figured I could handle LIS.

Let me start off with just two of my small display cases.

The upper photo is "busy" looking because it has a lot of colorful and shiny objects (and I'm easily distracted by shiny stuff). In the upper left, you'll see my Space Babe model with the LIS robot which has been posted here before. Behind her is an unbuilt chrome edition of the Polar Lights Jupiter two model; a limited edition of 5,000 kits. On that same shelf, on either side of the Space Babe, are a smaller robot pin and a talking robot key chain. As you move to the right, there's a tinplate LIS robot made for the Japanese market (a modern item). Beside it is one of the favorite items in my collection: a 1966 Remco Robot. On the lower shelf, in the lower left, is a Spencer's Gifts talking robot Xmas ornament. At the back of the shelf is line of three, limited edition Chrome robots…the three robots each representing a variant with different colored laser pistols. In front of them is the standard version of that same robot toy. Also on that shelf are robot and Jupiter 2 salt and pepper shakers and a pair of Lost in Space wrist watches.

The lower photo is a little more straight forward. In this case, you see a robot cookie jar. The rarer item beside it is the 2 foot tall, radio-controlled robot made by Trendmasters. These saw no real national retail distribution with most of them hitting stores near the Trendmasters warehouse in St .Louis.
