Richard Driscoll is a British director whose previous features, THE COMIC and KANNIBAL have marked him out as something special - a
writer/director/producer/actor without the slightest bit of acting, writing or directing talent, although I will grudgingly admit he must have some producing
ability because it's not everyone who can get Rik Mayall, Norman Wisdom and Christopher Walken in one dodgy horror film. His latest movie is EVIL CALLS,
which was shot in 2002 as ALONE IN THE DARK and has been on the shelf since then. He finally self-released it in February 2008 and it is so massively awful in
every respect that I set myself the challenge to review it in as much detail as humanly possible. The result is 22,000 words long - hopefully more analytical
than anal - and can be found here: http://www.mjsimpson.co.uk/reviews/evilcallsa.html
