When will Peter Jackson admit he was influenced by the 76 version?? Look I loved the Peter Jackson version. He did a bueatiful job on the movie. That is not
my point. When Dino did the 76 version he took a huge chance having the girl actually care about Kong. Fay Wray in the original did nothing but SCREAM every
second she was with Kong. In Dino's version Dwan cares about Kong. In the Peter Jackson version Ann Darrow cares about Kong. Even at the end of the 76
version, the photagraphers stand on the dead Kong's chest. This same exact image is in the Peter Jackson version!! I mean I understand that Peter could
have thought that shot up anyway, but let's be real here! He has publicly said he thought the 76 version was lousy. I really am not writing this to
praise the 76 version. I am just saying I think Peter Jackson liked it a little more than he lead on. The heart of the story of "KING KONG" is the
relationship between Kong and the girl. The Peter Jackson version is far closer to the 76 version in that regard!! The fact that he spent time with Rick
Baker really peaks my interest here. Didn't Baker at least bring this up??
