I want to be sure, are you saying that Lawrence Talbot is not returning to the estate of his father, Sir John Talbot, after a lengthy stay in America as in the original movie, he is instead an actor? Is he an actor playing a wolf-man character called Lawrence Talbot and due to some head injury lives the part and believes he is a werewolf ? In other words, is it closer to the original Wolf-man script of 1941 which was to be called DESTINY in which Lawrence Talbot only imagined that he was a Werewolf? Or is this still about a true werewolf curse?

I am the Shadow Man, and I never harm the person whose bed I live under.

My understanding is that Talbot was away in America. He returns to England as part of an acting troupe putting on a play. Anthony Hopkins is Sir John, and I believe Talbot does return to the ancestral home. At some point he is attacked by a werewolf and becomes one himself. Reportedly, Geraldine Chaplin is Maleva. Hugo Weaving is Inspector Abberline (of the Jack the Ripper case), Emily Blunt is the as yet unnamed female lead (Gwen Conliffe?). That's all I know.

Wow, has some Chaney to it! I'm getting more and more excited about this film.
