Was surprised to find no mention of Irwin Allen, here. The writing quality might have been inconsistent, but his shows did give us some jaw-dropping hardware
and creatures. You know, it's a bit odd; LOST IN SPACE was remade as a theatrical feature in 1998, there was a 1996 attempt to revive LAND OF THE GIANTS,
as well as two attempts to revive TIME TUNNEL (2002 and 2008), yet Allen's longest-running TV series, VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA, remains untouched
by the remake machines.
