Please discuss Rondo VI here. |

Rather than use the main ballot as a thread, here's the place to discuss, praise or denounce the Sixth Annual Rondo awards. Thanx everyone.

No, thank YOU. Great job again, David, and a LOT of work. I'm a little more "up" on some of the categories this year, and look forward to checking out some others in the next few weeks. Somewhere Rondo is smiling, and ain't that a vision to conjure with? The blessings of Ramboona on you, David. |

Thank you, David, for what must have been a devil to accomplish while battling the flu!
Well worth waiting for. And now the hard part for all of us. Already I'm torn in so many categories! I would like to once again recommend Bernie Wrightson for the Hall Of Fame. His work is legendary, and he is a true-blooded Monster Kid if I've ever known one. As for Artist Of The Year, if any of you have not already promised your vote to another worthy artist, you can view a large selection of the classic horror artwork I created in 2007 at this site. There are a lot of images, so be patient if you don't have a high-speed connection... http://www.sketchythings.com/index.html Best of luck to all of the nominees!!!

i voted walt disney for hall of fame. The man has a legacy of horror, though it is far outweighed by his other works. He also has left a clear mark on the
perception of the modern witch that is rivaled only by the black robes and pointy hat found in the wizard of oz.

And Mickey tried to straighten his own sorceror's cap just a few years later. I agree Disney has had a huge impact on every facet of imagination.

David! Congratulations on a job well done. The ballot looks great!
On behalf of Brad Linaweaver, Christopher Schaefer, Jim Knell, L.J. Dopp, John Deall and myself, thank you all for the four (4!!!) nominations. I'm stunned. I've got to call Brad now. And wake him up! LOL! This is more exciting than the Oscar Nominations.

Okay, it's been a couple hours since the ballot was posted -- what are the pollsters saying? We need some early reports and projections. Breakdowns by
gender/race/etc. would be helpful too. Where's David??

Very nice list and one that will be hard to pick some. I was hoping HKCFN news could have made it but there is always next year. I figured with all the sites
that got picked and nominated (which I think some did nominate us) we could have made it on. Just a tad confused. Oh well. Thanks for the hard work David.

Tom-- How do you feel about Chuck Norris saying you're too old to accept the Rondo?
David-- the fact that my blog got a nomination sends a clear message: your bank cleared my check!

Very pleased to see that Steve's work for The Thunder Child has been recognized by a nomination for the Rondo. He deserves a Rondo and much more for his
work with the recent Miklós Rózsa film festival!

The key may be northern Vasaria, where slow FEMA reaction to a dam disaster -- someone blew up the dam after lights were seen in a castle! -- has caused great voter discontent. Polls also show 75% of voters think the Rondos are on the 'right track.' |
