I`m just the opposite. I find these Hollywood shows ugly.

I am most amazed that they cut the funny political guy. He would have definitely upped the interest for the show this year, so it appears that the producers
aren't manipulating the show as much as we thought. He should have been this year's Sanjaya.
That surprised me too. I thought he was a sure thing. I guess the we can chalk it up to the critical backlashing AI got last season because of Sanjaya. Not
only shouldn't he have made it to the final 24, but he survived way longer than other more talented singers. That more than anything else damaged the shows
credibility. I think the producers are making sure they don't repeat that mistake this season.
For the record, I thought the political guy had a fairly decent voice, and he might have been an interesting choice. I'm am glad the homeless kid
didn't make the cut.
I thought he sounded like a British munchkin when he sang. The way the show had focuses on his tragic backstory he would have gotten more sympathy votes
because of his personal situation, not because he processed a decent pair of tonsils. It might have turned into another Sanjaya thing had they let him through.

Here's a list of the guys (yes, I made notes!):
No one really blew me away last night, but I thought Hernandez, Archuleto, Noriega, Haley and Johns did the best jobs. (Although I missed Castro's song.) I
agree that Johns 'Light My Fire' should have shown more sparkle. I think Noriega needs to lose the annoying affectations if he wants mainstream America
to vote for him.
Actually, my favorite 'performance' of the night was the ULE! commercial with Kelly Clarkson. That was hilarious.

What this show really needs is an interpreter to explain what Paula is trying to say. She seems incapable of stringing words together to form an intelligent
sentence. I will never understand why she is still a judge on this show. She merely mimics whatever Randy's opinion is and doesn't have the class to
shut the hell up and let Simon finish his critique. She really annoys the piss out of me.
