REALLY great idea! Thanks for the praise of our team, elmo. That would certainly be fun. For a spoof of the Universals, I feel that YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is untouchable, really the last word. And for a straight riff on the Universals (I think? Haven't seen it yet so please correct me if I'm wrong) there's the recent HOUSE OF THE WOLFMAN. So not sure there's room for one more.I would love to do a straight version of a 50s scifi-horror at some point. As for 30s/40s spooky stuff, for now I'm thinking our old dark house film DARK AND STORMY NIGHT is as close as we'll get (though there's no monsters in it--but it does have a hooded phantom).Carl, glad the wait wasn't too long after all!

Have to say, while Lost Skeleton of Cadavra did have that "unexpected" quality, I think this take on the Old Dark House genre is quickly becoming Pam and my new favorite. I mean, good Lord, we watched it two weekends in a row when it came out. This weekend when we were looking for a movie to watch, we couldn't really decide on anything. I turned and said, "is it wrong that I feel like watching DaSN again?" To my delight, she replied, "That's what I was thinking!" So we watched it again. And somewhere in there I listened to the commentary, too (although that was over several nights in smaller bits while cooling down after running)."Shoo, boo. Shoo, boo. Shoo boo!"Martin Arlt...................................
