This post by John Bissonette on October 4 did not receive a lot of response, probably because it was made in a thread about the new MYSTERIOUS ISLAND and
FAHRENHEIT 451 CD. The report that a new Morgan and Stromberg recording of Frank Skinner's score for ABBOTT AND COSTELLO
MEET FRANKENSTEIN will be coming in the future is truly great news for us fans of Universal horror music. We're looking forward to further updates, John.
Here is an update on our upcoming projects. Both MYSTERIOUS ISLAND and FAHRENHEIT CDs are at the manufacturing plant. Screen Archives hopes to have them for preorder by mid-October. In about a month, we head back to Moscow to record Steiner's SHE and Herrmann's THE KENTUCKIAN and WILLIAMSBURG. Then next year, probably late February, we head again to Russia to record Steiner's CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE and ARESENIC AND OLD LACE, both complete thus it will be a double CD release. Also on that trip we will finally do ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN and to fill up the disc with music from other ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET films. So there!
