Nov 11 07 9:11 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I took to heart your word 'favorite.' So that would be FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLFMAN. Had the word been 'best', I would have gone with THE WOLF MAN or ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN. The one thing you can't miss, looking at that list--however we may feel about Creighton, his horror filmography does not even remotely approach that of Karloff, Lugosi, Price, probably Cushing and Lee for either quality or quantity.

Nov 12 07 7:39 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I went with FMTWM as well. His best performances are probably in that film, along with THE WOLF MAN and MAN MADE MONSTER for me. The one thing you can't miss, looking at that list--however we may feel about Creighton, his horror filmography does not even remotely approach that of Karloff, Lugosi, Price, probably Cushing and Lee for either quality or quantity. I don't know if I'd agree on quantity. Especially when you consider he played so many of the classic monsters - moreso even than Bela and Boris.

A terrific character actor, but I think he was simply wrong for the roles of Count Alucard, the Frankenstein Monster and the Mummy. My favorite Chaney horror flick: MAN MADE MONSTER. How do you figure he's wrong for a mummy or a Frankenstein monster? With the mummy, is it the whole "weight" factor? I'd never even noticed it until people started saying it... he just loooked like a tough, brawny mummy to me.

But Wolfman is classic! Anyone remember an older Chaney in the Defiant Ones? ........ I rather stay here...With all the madmen...Then perish with the sadmen roaming free.....
