I had never seen this movie before. Just one of those films that I always "missed" somehow. Well.....having gotten the great Criterion box (also includes Corridors of blood, Atomic Submarine and First man into space) I have finally seen it and it was pretty damn good. It is always cool to see something that I haven't seen before and it turns out to be better than I thought it would be! I got sort of the same surprise when I finally saw Witchcraft a couple of weeks ago. Life is still good!!

I've never seen this film but I recently bought the Criterion MONSTERS AND MADMEN Box Set when Amazon sold it for $28 so I look forward to finally seeing it.

Looks like Mr. Pratt picked up some pointers from the Lon Chaney Sr. School of Minimal Makeup. All those years of sitting in Jack Pierce's chair, Willy just said "enough". He was gonna do it his way. Just suck on some sour atomic grape balls and....presto change-o.

Actually, Karloff removed a bridge in his lower right jaw, then sucked his lip in.

I know the cliched things things about about us limeys are

1) we're all gay
2) we all have a wierd hobby
3) We all have lousy teeth

I ain't got broadband, I've really, really, really tried putting up an avatar following David's instructions and it just won't work.

Any tips?

PS especially since Yuku started everyone's Avatars loook great. Mine looks like Jack Griffin in the fog.

Prof, I too am of old school and still have dial-up. My avatar was a happy accident in which I still don't know what I did. But there are a bunch of "smart-donkeys" on these boards, and maybe someone can give you an easy short route to your very own avatar. In the meantime, I will pray for your avatar's soul......
