Hey, just spun a tape of "Night Key" through the VCR and had a great time watching it. For once, we have a Karloff movie that had him actually survive and thrive at the end!
At about 70 minutes or so, the movie pretty much keeps a good pace. I thought the "Petty Louie," character was really good, and his daughter and the goofy cop/amour weren't bad, either.
Having spent much of the summer entangled in more mondern (1960s modern, anyway) "gore" movies, this was refreshing. The bad guys were bad, but not all that threatening to the girl or the old man.
Anyway, looking for fellow opinions on the movie. And, for those who have seen it, does Karloff look OLD, or what? He wasn't much past 50 at the time, was he? Good makeup, I guess....
