So I was just scanning the new Rondo noms, and noticed that PAUL NASCHY hasn't been inducted into the Hall of Fame yet. I'm thinking he more than deserves to be a Hall of Famer -- not only is he one of the few surviving Monster stars, having played practically every Classic Monster you could think of in numerous films, but he's a true "Monster Kid" himself.

I have heard him in interviews talk about how he loved the old monster movies and how as a boy he would sit around for hours drawing pictures of Frankenstein and the like. And I think his love of the genre shows in much of the work he's done---Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, From Hell, the Pirates movies, even Sweeney Todd. An Oscar may have eluded him twice, but I bet he would get a kick out of a Rondo!
I've heard Depp mention how much he loves the classic monster movies, and agree that he is a big time Monster Kid. I don't think it's a coincidence alot of his roles border on the fantastic.

I just posted this on the Universal Monster Army site regarding Ben Chapman: Reading all of these wonderful posts, as well as the ones posted on the CHFB, has got me to thinking. In the last ten years, Benny's contribution to the classic horror community has been immeasurable. Benny became much more than just the guy who wore the suit in the movie. He became a Good Will Ambassador to the entire fanbase. His generosity of spirit brought us all together, he was a common link to fans across the nation.
And so I respectfully submit that Ben Chapman be honored posthumously with a Rondo Hall Of Fame Award, for keeping the memory of classic monsters alive in the hearts and minds of us all.
