Well... he was in on the drafting, but had lots of help. I've heard it said that the last Pres who really wrote ALL of his own words was Wilson.

Speech writing, I shoulda known before I posted that, got lazy! We pretty much
figgered Reagan had a ghostwriter. A lost art. Kennedy could write, I guess it's
the time factor. If it were me, I'd rather it come from the horse's ( ass's? ) mouth.
