No, I would not consider the unpublished stories or the unbroadcast music to be less than that which reached a mass audience.  And I did not say that about the movies, either.  I said they were something different, not something less.  There is a....difference.

It has nothing to do with quality.  Zero.  It has to do with what I am interested in.  I'm interested, keenly, in theatrical horror films.  And theatrically-released science-fiction.  All theatrically-released films, actually.  I am less interested ("less" referring only to my interest, not to the work's quality) in DTV horror, or TV horror, or audio horror, or horror literature.

For example, much as I love NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, much as I might enjoy a good ol' zombie movie -- I've never seen an episode of THE WALKING DEAD and I'm really not interested in trying it.

It's like football.  I love NFL football, have some interest (though less) in college football, and zero interest in Canadian football.  But it's all football.  It's just a matter of where my interest lies.  I'm not saying that this is a correct approach or a smart one or even a sane one...but it is mine.

I do watch some TV horror and read some horror lit.  And I watch some DTV horror (which will include LOVELY MOLLY at some point.)  I am a horror film fan.  It's my definition of "film" which doesn't match yours, and that's all.
