Dear BL-

>I find it interesting that about 99.9% of the documentaries I watched this past month ... were in the lone nut camp.<

Could it be that as time passes, and ever more research is done, that theory seems more likely?

>documentaries that used to be shown quite frequently during the anniversary month, such as "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" are apparently banned from the US airwaves.<

The fact that they're not running, doesn't mean they've been banned (by who, by the way?) The one you cite was run to death before!

>I try to be somewhat open about it, but I find too many questions and too many odd things about it<

Have you looked into the Lincoln assasination? Or - God forbid! - 9/11? As I think Rick inferred above, LIFE has messy edges, unresolved questions, and lots of odd things about it.

>Just who was this Lee Harvey Oswald person.<

An oddly raised, seriously screwy, loner who never fit in anywhere. And who, like Booth and many others before or since, craved notoriety. Several poeple who were there after his arrest have remarked how he glowed when all the attention was on him - you can even see it in the newsreel footage. He doesn't look terrified, he looks happy.

>But then, I also note that 3 progressive voices in the nation were felled by assassins in the span of 5 years, and I have to wonder how and why.<

Later shootings included Wallace and Reagan, hardly progessives.
