Everybody loves a mystery!

I think Wich nailed it on the head. Think of a recent "event" ( gawd, even THAT descriptor is loaded
with soft language! ) in which Homeland Security dropped the ball. Clue: Baked Beans.

Here in our lil' cocoon called The United States, we assume we can escape the horrors of the world by
building a better fence, a bigger buwwit. We think we can cheat death and evade military service by sending
in the clones. It's an old idea that we can buy absolute security and responsibility. The Old South was built
upon it. We have a perverse notion we can deflect a negative onto another party; and of course there are tools
in which to accomplish this.

That's why there are entire industries, "experts" ( !!! ) and "professions" devoted to selling deferred ownership
of A Problem. That explains the false power of the law and certain financial institutions. Despite these tantalizing
tools, sometimes it's the little things that drift in and out of the gaze of the radar. Be it a name misspelling, drifters
in and out of citizenship or federal allegiance, it's impossible to stop every motivated person or collective. We simply
can't wrap our heads around the idea that one man can do something as horrible as take out a president or bring down
a bank. Only yesterday was released the Sandy Hook report. As always, the Ministry of Deferred Responsibility is
lining up its ducks. Lawyers, experts - operators are standing by! So when Something Happens, we can make that
call and get out of a pinch. Sometimes. But someone ALWAYS get paid.

Am I open to possible coverups on the JFK assassination? Sure, simply 'cuz of all the creative editing of "officially"
released documents. This editing was, of course, to protect "national interests". Perhaps there's a shred ( sorry! ) of
truth in that assertion, er, assumption, but more likely it was to protect those who dropped the ball. If not, then why
drag out the release of such documents years later so that responsible parties can skirt scrutiny in life? It's this simple:
The CiA and FBi were incompetent. If Oswald was on their radar, WHY didn't they devote more effort to contain him?
The guy had just attempted to take out Gen Walker earlier that year, you'd think they'd take note! Well, I guess they did ...
after the fact. So, part of the problem, again, is that we can't infringe upon the freedoms of one man until he actually does
something. Well, Oswald did. Twice. Ooops, oh well. We'll probably never find out the specifics of what went down in
Mexico City, but I'm sure if transcripts did exist, it would sew up the JFK debate forever. Don't hold your breath or wait
for 2017, I doubt that will yield fruit either.

So ... here we are, stuck gazing at our navels forever more. Theories are interesting intellectual exercises, but at a certain
point one has to admit to him- or herself that such exercises veer into the realm of fantasy.

Last thought: An easy debunk. Johnson. OK, taken. But consider this: Why would Johnson risk war with Cuba, the USSR
or the Chinese in a power grab after having witnessed the Cuban Missile Crisis one year hence? It makes NO sense. They
already blundered once with Cuba, then THAT happened, so why keep stirring the pot? Sometimes with these theories,
Common Sense is the first casualty.

Hey BeatleFreaks, something I never knew: Cronkite planned to "break" them on Nov 22nd's evening newscast, but the JFK
murder scuttled those plans. The story was deferred to early December, Sullivan saw it, and rubbed his chin. Rest is history.
