Dc, I grew up while the Conspiracy Cosmos did, from Mark Lane on... and one thing really surprised me, as I watched the TV and listened to the radio last week:

Many folks who used to be in, or at least lean toward, that stance, are now more in the Oswald camp. That includes journalists like Geraldo Rivera, and several folks who were in Dallas that day.

Coverup? Yes.

In which the Establishment tried to bury the fact that Oswald was enough on their radar, that they should have been able to prevent this. As a Lincoln buff, who knows that exactly that same game was played by the Gov. after that killing, it makes sense from here.

I guess that's why "Parkland" made much of the Oswald file that Hosty was ordered to dispose of.

I grew up making jokes about the Grassy Knoll.  Basically, I was uninterested in the lone-nut/conspiracy debate.  I'm not even sure I knew there was a debate.  I only became interested in the month or so *before* "JFK" was released.  Certain political columnists were taking potshots at a movie that hadn't been released!  (I think George Will was one.)  They wanted us not to see it, if in fact it was released despite their efforts.  After I wrapped up HSF4, about 1996, I began seriously looking into the mystery behind the columnists/censors.  In time, I learned not to trust any evidence presented to the Warren Commission--especially the original transcription/transmogrification of the DPD radio logs.  (Not the logs themselves, which I've listened to many times & which I trust implicitly.)smiley: tongue
