>Well, Wich2<

Call me Craig.

>you claim that the Republicans were playing dirty games in the 1960 election as well.  But you don't cite anything specific.<

No shenanigans there; I just thought the fact was common knowledge, much revisited after the Bush/Gore election. It's also easily confirmed with a little Googling:

http://hnn.us/article/133484
"In Illinois, the most recent and fair-minded study (Kallina’s Kennedy v. Nixon) concludes that sufficient evidence does not exist to determine whether Chicago’s Democratic machine stole more votes there than Republicans did downstate."

>It's common to make that kind of claim without any kind of citation.<

See above. More such are easily found.

>But even if Nixon and the Republicans had been accused of voter fraud it would not negate Kennedy's theft of the election.  You can't excuse bad behavior by pointing to another's bad behavior.<

I didn't. I did disagree with your contention that if a politician was involved in a crooked election, it made his later public execution "poetic irony."

>Kennedy shouldn't have been in The White House, he should have been in The Big House.  You can't even contest the point if you believe in the rule of law and we are, after all, a nation of laws.<

I believe in the rule of law. How many other Presidents are you willing to put in prison retroactively (dirty elections, even in the US, MUCH predate Kennedy and Nixon, and did not end in 1960.)

>Think about it.<

I have, a lot. And as you repeat your opinion that there is "poetry" in this man's death, I will still take extreme issue with your prescription of treatment for the disease of political corruption.
