I don't recall where I first learned of Harrington, but it was probably through FM in the early '70s. Harrington was always being touted as a modern master of horror, mostly on the strength of GAMES. But when you look at the remainder of his genre output (NIGHT TIDE, VOYAGE TO A PREHISTORIC PLANET, QUEEN OF BLOOD, WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH HELEN?, WHOEVER SLEW AUNTIE ROO?, THE KILLING KIND, RUBY, and the Made-for TV movies HOW AWFUL ABOUT ALLAN, THE CAT CREATURE, KILLER BEES, THE DEAD DON'T DIE, and DEVIL DOG: HOUND OF HELL), there really isn't a stand-out title in the whole lot. Today, I think Harrington is remembered mainly for being one of James Whale's boy toys.
