Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering. The line "I'll show you what horror means"...could that in part have been a jab at the popular Dracula and Frankenstein horror films from earlier that year?

Personally, of the three films, I do find Hyde the most "horrific." The cruelty he shows others, particularly the intense scenes where he's terrorizing Ivy, and the pleasure he appears to draw from it makes him to my mind the most "monstrous" of the three.
