This season of Face-Off was a really dumb experiment. If we take the worst slate of new contestants ever and match them up against some of the best people who have ever been on the show, who'll win? Kind of like could Godzilla beat Bambi?

If this had been a normal season of Face Off with no vets, Laney would be champion. Where did they get these newbies?

Well lets face it how many really amazing makeup artists do you think there are out there.

Sure there are tons of schools taking money and pouring out these people, but how many really talented ones do you think are out there.  Now out of that small number, how many of those really talented artists are not currently working their asses off and have time to go on a game show.

The pool for Face Off has been mostly drained.

That's the impression I get. At first the majority of the contestants seem to have at least some experience working in film and television: now  they tend to get folks considered "Knoxville's Third Finest Special Effects Make-up Artist".

This season's Eddie, who hailed from the 'prestigious' Savannah College of Art and Design, was certainly no great shakes.
