@Tom  I remember reading the reviews for Galaxy Quest and 3 major reviews called Sam whats his name "droll".  How often do you see the word "droll?"

It happened, she got her reputation is wrecked, I don't know if this is subject to lawsuits and stuff but if she was paid there is a dollar value involved, so there is that she could be subject to. As a boss once told me "it takes a lot of 'atta boys' to make up for one 'oh, +!*$'". At some point we do have to move on, or else we will miss the next Lianne.

The Alexander thing is endemic of the anonymity of the net, as long as people are able to make endless accounts on gmail etc, they can make endless accounts anywhere else and post away. And when people are anonymous they tend to let it all hang out, sometimes way too much. Hence I don't take comments added to blogs to seriously, they are flimsy stuff built on more flimsy "journalism".

My question is what actions are being taken to tighten up standards? How about pasting an IP address next to everyone's alias? Hard to mask that, it is doable but not easy, and if it is masked you can tell. So you can be anonymous, but not have argue with yourself.

FYI I always use my full name everywhere I comment.  It's not because I am a great and noble guy, it is the best insurance I have against saying something really stupid. It sometimes even works.
