Just for kicks i took some snaps from my boot to match with John's...

It's not as readily apparent from these shots, but it is much easier to see what is going on in dark scenes with the old boot. And though it is a little jittery as well. It's not nearly as bad as the timeless print. My guess is these are both from the same print, just the old boot was probably transferred to 16 mil years ago, and the new transfer reflects the current state of the print. The old print also has less detail, so the old print may have been worn, or it's a generation away from the original transfer.
