Tim's mentioning of Spiderbabygate was briefer than I thought it would be, to be sure, but in the end what was said was all I needed to hear to relate his side of what happened in a fair and thoughtful way.

Outside of fandom circles, most journalistic coverage of plagerism that I've read has focused on the rogue writer who did the plagerism and how their career was ruined (or occasional redemption pieces on those who are trying to get back). In those non-fandom pieces, I don't recall much focus on the writers who were plagerized, or their editors who were duped, or the publications they appeared in. So in the sense of typical coverage of such a case, I would side with Tim that the tragedy does appear to be all on Lianne.
