Keith Andes' character in BLACKBEARD THE PIRATE was named Maynard, which gave Robert Newton in the title role a chance to exploit his pirate-talk schtick by saying "May-NARRRRRRRRD".

You'd almost swear they came up with that name so that Newton could capitalize on it- just as if someone writing a script for Bing Crosby gave him an inordinate number of words starting with the letter "B" for him to say.
