George Harrison donated his song "Sour Milk Sea" to Lomax, and got Paul and Ringo to play on it with him. He had been a member of fellow Liverpool group The Undertakers. Badfinger's Tom Evans, another Liverpudlian, also joined Lomax in the studio in 1969, along with Welshman Pete Ham, to record the 7 minute hard rock-blues "Take Me Down to the Water." None of Jackie's Apple singles met with any success.
