I saw B.O.C. in January 1978 at the Target Center in Minneapolis--they put on one hell of a show (being one of the
first stadium acts to use big lasers).
B.O.C. could really rock, to be sure, but their oeuvre of sci-fi friendly songs, disturbingly Lovecraftian weird lyrics, and
monster-kid friendly themes (Go Go Godzilla), earns them respect. Lanier was a talented part of the whole.
And though I'm not expecting any Joan Crawford zombi-fying; he at least need never more fear the reaper.
