Universal already has the solution right at their fingertips: put the classic horror films back into rotation. The days of syndication packages are long dead, and I don't think we'll ever see a "Saturday afternoon monster movie in every market" again. But we don't have to, because Universal OWNS Syfy and Chiller! Instead of running SHARKTOPUSAGATOR VS. MEGA PIRANNAHCONDA five times a week, slip in TARANTULA or THE MONOLITH MONSTERS once a week. Just once. And Chiller could have a midnight show of THE RAVEN or THE MUMMY'S GHOST or whatever hundred other titles Universal has in their catalog. A "Vintage Saturday Night" show would draw an audience. Maybe not an audience of 50 million attention deficit teens playing with their Blackberrys, but enough of an audience to warrant showing one single black & white movie a week. I think they'd be surprised at the fans they would gain.

Come on Universal, it ain't rocket surgery!

When SCI-FI (excuse me, SyFy) started out they used to show the occassional UNIVERSAL classic. But, too many "critics" complained that the channel was being wasted showing clunky black and white films as well as recycled 1960s sci-fi TV shows. So, we got SyFy.

As for Chiller, forget it. Those commercials for different forms of cancer and animal cruelty that they keep barbarding us with every ten minutes are more chilling then any of the films in their library. I wouldn't want my UNIVERSAL classics butchered with that drek.

PhantomXCI, surely by now you must realize that UNIVERSAL dosen't give a damn. So much for kudos.
