When Chiller first aired, it was actually very cool. On Saturday afternoons, you could catch 50s sci-fi and the 40s Universal horrors. They even played stuff like TERROR IN THE AISLES and that horror documentary that was hosted by Anthony Perkins. Most of the time anymore, they just play really bad direct to DVD junk, with the occasional good 80s horror, like THE EVIL DEAD or RE-ANIMATOR.

I wish they would listen to this idea, because it would be a fun idea.

As for SYFY...who knows. They never even play films from the 80s, let alone the 30s. That channel has been a mess for awhile.

By the way, I would love to see RETURN OF THE WOLF MAN adapted as a show/film. That was very true to the monsters, while including fun references to practically EVERY Universal horror. My only complaint was the weak demise of the Frankenstein Monster, though I know that was a common complaint.

The sequels, which were not handled by Rovin, had interesting ideas but suffered from an identity crisis. It was cool to have a relative of Wilfred Glendon seek the remains of the Frankenstein Monster, by returning to said locations and to even include references to the homunculi and stuff, but it never came together.
