I could really use it too. I just had surgery and have to pretty much lie flat for the next few days.
You OK, GW? What did you have done?

Rak, thanks for asking but I'll spare all the grisly details.  Let's just say that now that I've pushed past fifty, I rarely get waved through my annual physical without having to address some sort of problem.  This past spring they found something suspicious inside me and thought it would be better out... so now, a couple of months later, it's out. Hopefully this will be the end of it.  With the beautiful weather outside it's been tough just lying flat on the couch (still the only comfortable position at present) but while I'm in discomfort I've no real pain and I really am catching up on a lot of old movies.  For reasons I'm sure folks on here can relate, I've collected a LOT of decidedly "non-classic" old sci-fi and horror films that it would be unfair to expect my wife and kids appreciate, so I've stockpiled these over time and am now plowing my way through them in blissful solitude during the afternoon quiet when everyone is out of the house and being productive.  I expect to be back at work next week.
