Lots of magazines get caught in deadline crunches -- featuring people on covers who die before publication, etc. -- and the best thing is to simply come back next issue with an explanatory statement.

In this case, VIDEO WATCHDOG was well on its way toward completion, and I think the actual circumstances about the article were still being determined.  Whether Tim could have blown in a disclaimer statement I don't now, but in a case like this, waiting until all the facts were in seems prudent. I'm sure Tim will deal with the article next issue.

And he certainly has addressed the situation online, which in the new world of publishing is a legitimate part of the magazine experience.

Just a hard thing all around; I think readers will acknowledge Tim did all he could given the intensely short time frame.
