He seemed to be commenting on the amount of time people are spending out of their day scouring the internet looking for plagiarism by an admitted and proven plagiarist. Seems fairly pathetic to me too. "Spiderbaby" seems like a creep and thief and liar. OK, how many times can you state it or read it?  She has lost all credibility in her chosen field of horror "journalism." So what else can one gain by continuing to spend their own precious time researching this dipstick.

Having been through this before with THE DARK SIDE, I can tell you precisely what the point is, and even add more points.

1)  After the first initial examples of plagiarism, Lianne and her supporters could well have stated, "Oh, she just jotted down other people's work by mistake.  After all, there are only a couple of examples of her plagiarizing."

2)  There probably will be a future for Lianne as a "journalist" (so far, St. Martin's Press has not made any statement about her or her forthcoming book), at which point PR attempts will be made to minimize her plagiarism.  The more of her plagiarism is shown, the less such PR attempts will succeed.

3)  As already stated, there is value in making the cribbed writers aware of the plagiarism. I think every writer would want to know if they were plagiarized.

4)  A sense of simple, clean outrage, which could be construed by some as corrupted moral principles or a "witch hunt" or whatever.  Doesn't matter.  Plagiarism is wrong and it should be outed.

It is and has been. I don't recall anyone disputing that or defending her.

But, hey knock yourself out, spend more time scouring the Internet. You will undoubtedly find more pilfered articles by this idiot. It will not ruin her already worthless reputation because, well its ruined. But it will, evidently, make you feel much better. Meanwhile, there is a martini and steak dinner with my name written all over it.
